Our Christmas Party is Dec 14th.
Our community christmas party is open to anyone wanting to come. We can hold up to 100 people in the hall at 30 Mooresville Road. Church of God. The party is from 1-5ish. We do need volunteers to help with the kid patrol, Santas helpers, food distribution and so on. So let us know if you can assist us. We also NEED A HAPPY SANTA PLEASE.
We will be having Santa there to hand out a toy to your child. You can take your own pictures if you choose. We will be having a turkey dinner also. We are going to have raffle baskets this year to help with our organization. Please bring your dollars. We usually have a small christmas tree also that is decorated by one of our staff members. If you are in need of a tree and truly do not have one or can afford one let us know when you call.
You can begin calling us Nov. 15th. JUST LEAVE YOUR NAME AND NUMBER at 641-2945 Cheryl and John Mitchell. We will call you back and get all the information we need. Please say it slowly and clearly as last few years there are some folks whom we can't understand and therefore can't return the call. You will be put on a list to come. WE will take no more calls after the 9th of Dec. Thank You and God bless.
Our group has been moving along well. The Oct. 16th Michael Briggs Memorial has been a blessing as it is every year. We had alot of new kids in the neighborhood and they came lit a candle and asked about what happen. We put emphasis on being good and doing things to help your neighbors, friends, and neighborhood.
We have finished the murals for the year and are looking forward to doing a new one in Bedford next spring for the Baby Salmon release. We will keep you updated.
Three of my members are working on a spring fling. We will be having it at the Fisher Cats Field in the spring. We will be selling our panels that roamed the city for years. They are two sided panels and have adorned many a place in manchester and hooksett. Now they are up for auction at this event. Please bring your friends. We will keep you updated when a date is available. We also have a Red Sox Signed Baseball we will be auctioning off as well.
I would like to share with you a thought on my organization. This past year was a little rough and slow. I and my members will never give up. My members moved me forward and have done some wonderful things to help get our name Eagle Eyes out there so people will know us more and more. They have made me happy and we have alot of things coming up for the spring. We will be working in the winter to set up spring things now as we did not do that before. Deb had an invention: a message in a bottle. HMMM whats that you ask???? We will keep you guessing till next couple newsletters.
I wanted to mention a nice little pizza restaurant to everyone. The food is good and inexpensive. The staff is also very kind and attentive to your needs. Please go and enjoy. Get there early, before 6 as after that its a bit of a wait. But well worth it. JOHNNY TROY'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT, TRIANGLE MALL, 2075 SOUTH WILLOW ST. CALL FOR TAKE OUT ALSO 644-TROY(8769). Joe is the owner and will be expanding in the near future. They have: Calzones, Pizza, Pastas, Paninis, Salads, Desserts, Beer and Wine. They also do Catering. Tell them Cheryl from Eagle Eyes sent you. You will leave with a smile and a few extra bucks in your pocket.....
We, the "Eagle Eyes" of Manchester are a group of neighbors and friends centered in the Lake Ave. area of Manchester who are committed to improving the quality of life in our neighborhood. We are a volunteer and non-profit organization willing and eager to cooperate with any and all city agencies to attain our goal through crime watches and awareness: public outreach, beautification efforts and the utmost safety of all those to whom we reach out. We encourage the participation of all other like-minded individuals regardless of their georgraphical location in New Hampshire, political affilliations or office held. We, as a group are in agreement that "No efforts based on good intentions are fruitless", and that even the smallest example of progress is a net gain to all. We have gathered as a group in the wake of a tragedy, and dedicate our efforts to the legacy of Officer Michael Briggs, to whom the city of Manchester owes a debt of gratitude. So help us God
Our group was born out of this tragedy to show that our communities can come forward and take a stand with strength, determination, and goodness. We will continue this journey and where ever it takes us we will be there. We have achieved much greatness in everything that we have done and will do. Be proud of yourselves.
