Our Christmas party was superb. Better than last year I think. I need to begin by Thanking folks. Sals Pizza, Thanks Dave for your gift cards. Thanks to Lens Doctors on South willow st. for your generous gift card. Thanks to the folks who helped with donations for Bobbi Jo and her family. Thanks Diane, Jeff, Carol, Toys for Tots who donated some games and two bicycles, and all the folks at the Christmas party who gave. We raised 170 dollars for the family. Bobbi Jo had a camera and it broke so we surprised her with a new one amongst other gifts for her Christmas. She wanted me to tell everyone Thank you SOOOOO much. Thanks to Lynn Collins and the seniors who knited all the hats, mittens, scarfs for us this year. They went quickly and the folks who got them were happy. Thank you Santa too If it wasn't for you Santa would not have come . I appreciate your coming at the last minute. Thanks Glen for the video taping. Thank you Elaine and John Neimic, Church of God staff. Thank you to those who took on a few families for the angel tree. I hand delivered most of the gifts and the parents were so greatful. Kisses and hugs to all of you. God has blessed me with special people. Thank you Pauline, Tammy, Marie, my staff and all of those who helped on that day. Thank you Kathy for helping from beginning to end. I appreciate you. Thank you to all the children who passed out goodies and gave hugs, kisses, handshakes to those who love them.
We helped 10 extra families after the Christmas party. The Church of God also helped with Turkeys and the trimmings for Christmas dinner to those in need.
Two Things I want everyone to pass on and remember. Next year everyone, I mean everyone needs to call before Dec. 3rd if they need extra help. If you do not attend the party you will need to call by then. This year was a rough one to fofill the dreams of those 10 families. I want it to be smoother next year. Secondly if you go to the Toys for Tots in Londonderry. (The marine base) on the 21, 22, or 23 you can go in and select toys for your family as well. I just found that out this year as my husband had to go get toys on the 23. Thanks honey for being such a great husband and friend.
I want to share a humble thought from me, Cheryl.
Santa asked adults after Christmas what they got. One woman said she got a day at the Spa, another some jewelry, and gentleman said he got a scarf and some gloves. When Santa asked me what I got I told him: I got my three children and other family members all in one room for one night to share our love for each other. I had tears in my eyes, but they were tears of happiness and joy as this is pretty much the only time I can get all my family together in one place. So thanks Santa for asking and helping me remember what Christmas is truly about.
We will be working on a few projects throughout the winter for the spring. Our debut at the Fisher Cats, A large wall for the Salmon, George Mae, Project, Our message in a bottle from Deb and Peg. See you all in March April.
Don't forget to help your neighbors and watch over the elderly. Help anyone you can. It makes the heart feel good. God Bless
If anyone needs help with anything please feel free to call us. We will try to help. Cheryl
We, the "Eagle Eyes" of Manchester are a group of neighbors and friends centered in the Lake Ave. area of Manchester who are committed to improving the quality of life in our neighborhood. We are a volunteer and non-profit organization willing and eager to cooperate with any and all city agencies to attain our goal through crime watches and awareness: public outreach, beautification efforts and the utmost safety of all those to whom we reach out. We encourage the participation of all other like-minded individuals regardless of their georgraphical location in New Hampshire, political affilliations or office held. We, as a group are in agreement that "No efforts based on good intentions are fruitless", and that even the smallest example of progress is a net gain to all. We have gathered as a group in the wake of a tragedy, and dedicate our efforts to the legacy of Officer Michael Briggs, to whom the city of Manchester owes a debt of gratitude. So help us God
Our group was born out of this tragedy to show that our communities can come forward and take a stand with strength, determination, and goodness. We will continue this journey and where ever it takes us we will be there. We have achieved much greatness in everything that we have done and will do. Be proud of yourselves.
